On the first Friday of each month, Kunsthal Aarhus presents KA Sound – a series of live DJ sessions focusing on experimental and integrated music environments. We invite friends, colleagues, and students and citizens from all walks of life and ages to join us to crisp and relaxing tunes from a new DJ each month.

The bar serves cool draft beers from Depanneur and natural wine from Aarhus-based importer Olander Vin.

On Future Female Sounds
Established in 2017, Future Female Sounds has been working to make the DJ profession accessible to women and gender minorities globally. Through DJ workshops, hands-on learning, networking, and events, FFS has trained more than 800 new DJ talents, as well as launched programs in Cairo, Tunis, Paris, Berlin, and Beijing. The FFS community consists of more than 7,000 international female and non-binary DJs and also has Scandinavia's largest booking agency of exclusively female and gender minority DJs. In Denmark, Future Female Sounds runs the first DJ Academy for women and gender minorities who want to learn to DJ. You can read more here: https://www.futurefemalesounds.org.
On KA Sound
Initiated by Kunsthal Aarhus in 2022, KA Sound prioritizes music and sound at the heart of contemporary art. It also facilitates new music experiences in Aarhus by making space for different creative disciplines to meet. In addition to strengthening the connection between contemporary art and music, KA Sound seeks to expand the city's music scene across other local associations and institutions.
