ØNSKER i SKY

A sensory Christmas performance

What happens when wishes turn into shopping lists?

ØNSKER i SKY is an intense and playful performance that takes the audience on a bodily journey through the longings, gift frenzy, and high expectations of Christmas.
With dark humour and sharp physicality, ØNSKER i SKY reclaims human presence amidst the commercial chaos of the festive season. Using the body, plastic sheets, and cacophonous soundscapes, it explores the inner states that ripple beneath the surface – those that don’t always match our desires or ideals.

ØNSKER i SKY opens a space of presence – a free space – where we can breathe together.

Duration: Approx. 60 minutes

ØNSKER i SKY is created by Daily Fiction and presented in collaboration with Kunsthal Aarhus.

How can giving gifts actually be experienced after capitalism has hijacked everything? What does it mean physically and emotionally to be so massively influenced by advertising, offers and apps? The purpose of ØNSKER i SKY is to reclaim the connection to ourselves and others. To insist on the presence that Christmas should really be about
