KP & SPRING 2026

This year's Easter exhibition shows a clear move towards miniature works, colours, boldness and a renewed focus on playfulness and experimentation with materials.

During Easter, Kunsthal Aarhus opens its doors once again for the great, traditional presentation of the newest trends in contemporary art, KP26 & SPRING26. The exhibition is organised in collaboration with The Artists' Easter Exhibition (KP), and this year KP26 will present 60 works by 34 different artists, while SPRING26 will show works by two specially selected artists.

Since 1970, Kunsthal Aarhus has hosted the annual Artists’ Easter Exhibition every spring. The exhibition gives both established artists and new talents the opportunity to present their works to a wide audience. Through the selection process of the censorship committee, some of the tendencies and trends currently expressed in art are presented.

The works for KP26 have been selected by Banaan Al-Nasser, Rune Bering, Villiam Miklos Andersen, Astrid Marie Christiansen, and Luna Scales.

Since 2003, The Artists' Easter Exhibition has also presented the talent exhibition SPRING alongside KP. Here, a select group of artists are invited to develop more ambitious and meticulously prepared projects. During the preparation phase, which lasts more than six months, they work closely with the artistic supervisor, who this year is the artist Ahmad Siyar Qasimi. SPRING26 presents works by Laura Degn and Peter Rolsted.
