Kunsthal Aarhus invites you to the opening of four exhibitions.

Amalie Smith’s (1985, DK) exhibition Clay Theory at Kunsthal Aarhus is a meditation on the link between life and clay. It takes the form of a 3D movie presented in Kunsthal Aarhus' Gallery 1, transformed for the occasion into an entirely black room fitted with a soft carpet and meditation mats.

Abdominal Routes by Hwayeon Nam (1979, KR) explores the phenomenon of time. It explores and considers time as a matter of personal experience, but also as a yardstick for history and society. The exhibition comprises a number of video works, a sound work and a series of photographs that take over the entire lower floor of Kunsthal Aarhus.

Sondra Perry's exhibition A Terrible Thing is organized by Museum of Contemporary Art Clevland (moCa) (USA), where it was shown in the spring and summer 2019.

After the openings, you can join the opening party for Art Weekend Aarhus.
