60 year anniversary Denmark & Korea / Opening Kim Beom

OpeningFree entry

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Denmark and Korea, 2019 is officially appointed as the common Year of Culture. Kunsthal Aarhus therefore invites you to the official opening of the Year of Culture. At the opening, H.R.H. The Crown Princess of Denmark, the Danish Minister of Culture Mette Bock, as well as a number of other official representatives from both Denmark and South Korea will paticipate.

At the same time Kunsthal Aarhus opens the solo exhibition Water from Ganges River in the Cup Made with Newspaper from Congo by the Korean artist Kim Beom. Through different types of media such as drawing, painting, video, sculpture, installation, writing and books, Kim Beom explores our sensuousness. What happens when our perspectives changes just a little? Kim Beom shows us, that even the slightest change in an everyday object can shift our perspective. He shows us the unknown in the known and the known in the unknown.
