What does an artistic response to the coronavirus crisis look like?

The contemporary artists Benedikte Bjerre, Kaspar Bonnén and Sonja Lillebæk Christensen have each expressed their own ideas with sculptures for the exhibition project Berørt.

The result is a giant laptop. A sentence spelled out in bricks. And a video collage showing hands and elbow bumps. Three interpretations of the coronavirus pandemic, made by the artists for posterity to remind us of how we have been touched.

After having been displayed at SMK, the three works are now moving to Kunsthal Aarhus' sculpture park. Keeping the message of the exhibition theme in mind, we want to create an open and shared public experience; hence the invitation to the opening event.

The exhibition opens at 1 pm, and if the weather permits, we will be hosting an outdoor opening in Kunsthallen's yard between 5 and 7 pm.

Max. capacity: 75 people at a time, according to the current rules for outdoor gatherings. Staff at the entrance will ensure that the capacity restrictions are adhered to. You may also want to book a free guided exhibition tour with one of our great art mediators (this requires a valid corona passport):
