Film Club: La Chinoise

Free entry
Still from La Chinoise.
Still from La Chinoise.

The Film Club paints the city red with the French New Wave's enfant terrible, Jean Luc-Godard, and his politically satirical and provocative film La Chinoise (1967).

The film will be screened in relation to our current exhibition, The Ignorant Schoolmaster, where five artists are making artistic reactions to chapters from the eponymous radical philosophical book by Jaques Rancière. Jakob Ladegård, associate professor in Literary History at Aarhus University, introduces the film. Jakob Ladegård research is rooted in the relationship between literature and film in the context of political and economic history.

Film screening in French with English subtitles.
